FAQs

How do Anti wrinkle injections work?

Miniscule amounts of Botox are injected into the relevant areas of the face. Most commonly these include lines around the outer eye, between the eyes and the forehead.

Botox treatment relaxes and lifts the muscle, softening the look of lines and giving a tighter, smoother appearance.

What are the common side effects?

Small red bumps and redness may appear around the injection area immediately after treatment. Other side effects including bruising are less common.

There is minimal discomfort during the procedure

What will happen during my anti wrinkle treatment?

Botox is a very quick procedure, and will only take a couple of minutes

Prior to your treatment we will have a consultation about what you hopes are and we will make a plan regarding your treatment together. My aim to to always listen closely to clients and ensure they are really happy with the outcome.

You will then be made comfortable lying down, and the Botox will be injected via very fine needles in miniscule amounts.

Is Botox right for me?

Anti wrinkle injections are suitable for anyone with early signs of ageing. Patients must be over 18. And they are not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

If you have further questions about this treatment and how it could work for you please do not hesitate to contact us.

There is no difference between Botox and anti-wrinkle injections, Botox is actually the trade or brand name for botulinum toxin which is one of many prescription medication brands used to treat and reduce dynamic lines on the upper face

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are an injectable treatment used to lift and plump the face. They are used to provide volume and contour your face, helping achieve a more youthful complexion by softening mild to deep wrinkles.

They provide natural-looking results and are most commonly used to rejuvenate facial areas including the cheeks, lips, jawline, mouth, neck and décolletage.

They act by boosting the skin’s supply of hyaluronic acid and stimulate the growth of collagen. Similarly to botox injections they are not permanent, and need repeating.

skin boosters

Skin boosters are a revolutionary aesthetic treatment designed to hydrate, rejuvenate, and improve the overall quality of your skin. These injectable treatments use a variety of substances, such as hyaluronic acid or polynucleotides, to deeply hydrate the skin, smooth fine lines, and restore a youthful glow. Unlike traditional fillers that add volume to specific areas, skin boosters work to improve skin texture, elasticity, and tone across larger areas, leaving the skin looking naturally refreshed and revitalized. Skin boosters are an excellent option for those looking to tackle dull, tired-looking skin, fine lines, and early signs of aging with minimal downtime and long-lasting results.

WHAT IS PROFHILO?

Profhilo is an innovative injectable skin treatment designed to rejuvenate and hydrate the skin. It’s a hyaluronic acid-based treatment that works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Profhilo is known for its ability to improve skin texture, elasticity, and overall tone. Unlike traditional fillers, Profhilo doesn't just target volume but focuses on deeply hydrating the skin and improving its structure. It's ideal for those looking to address fine lines, sagging skin, and skin that appears dull or tired.

How Long Does Profhilo Take?
The procedure is relatively quick, typically taking around 30 minutes depending on the area being treated. A series of small injections are made into the skin, typically at five points on each side of the face. There’s no need for extensive preparation, but we recommend consulting with one of our qualified practitioners beforehand to discuss your skin concerns and treatment goals.

Down Time and Aftercare
Profhilo is minimally invasive, and there is typically little downtime involved. Some clients may experience slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, but this usually resolves within a few hours to a day. It’s advisable to avoid strenuous exercise, direct sunlight, and heat for the first 24-48 hours after treatment. Results begin to show gradually over the following weeks, with optimal results appearing after two sessions, spaced four weeks apart.

Where Can You Have Profhilo?
Profhilo is most commonly used on the face, but it can also be applied to areas such as the neck, décolletage, hands, and even the arms. It’s perfect for addressing areas that show early signs of aging or where the skin has lost its youthful texture.

Polynucleotides Treatment
What are Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides (PN) are naturally occurring molecules that play a key role in skin regeneration and repair. When injected into the skin, Polynucleotides help to restore and enhance the skin’s natural healing processes. This treatment boosts hydration, reduces inflammation, and improves skin texture and tone, making it an excellent choice for clients dealing with signs of aging, scarring, or dull skin. Polynucleotides also promote collagen production, leading to firmer, healthier skin.

How Long Does Polynucleotides Treatment Take?
The Polynucleotides treatment typically takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the area being treated. Like Profhilo, it involves a series of small injections into the skin, and clients may feel mild discomfort during the procedure. It’s often used in combination with other treatments to achieve enhanced results.

Down Time and Aftercare
Polynucleotides treatments are minimally invasive, with minimal downtime. Some swelling, redness, or bruising may occur at the injection sites, but these effects usually dissipate within a few hours to a few days. You should avoid intense physical activity, excessive sun exposure, or hot showers for at least 24 hours after the procedure. Most clients see improvements over the course of a few weeks, with full results becoming visible around 2-3 months after treatment.

Where Can You Have Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, hands, and other areas of the body where rejuvenation and skin repair are needed. It is especially beneficial for areas where skin is thinner or has been damaged, such as the under-eye area or the back of the hands.

Profhilo vs Polynucleotides
Both Profhilo and Polynucleotides are fantastic treatments for skin rejuvenation, but they have distinct properties and benefits, making them suitable for different needs.

Profhilo

  • Main focus: Deep hydration and skin tightening

  • Mechanism: Uses high-concentration hyaluronic acid to stimulate collagen and elastin production.

  • Best for: Overall skin rejuvenation, improving skin texture, tone, and elasticity.

  • Treatment areas: Face, neck, décolletage, hands, and arms.

  • Number of sessions: Typically 2 sessions, spaced 4 weeks apart.

Polynucleotides

  • Main focus: Skin regeneration, repair, and hydration

  • Mechanism: Stimulates the body’s natural healing process to improve skin texture and promote collagen production.

  • Best for: Dull, damaged skin, scars, or skin that needs repair and regeneration.

  • Treatment areas: Face, neck, décolletage, hands, and more sensitive areas like under the eyes.

  • Number of sessions: Usually 2-3 sessions, spaced 3-4 weeks apart.

Which One is Right for You?
If you’re looking for overall skin rejuvenation and hydration, Profhilo is an excellent choice, especially for treating sagging skin or early signs of aging. If your concern is more about skin repair and regeneration, or if you have scarring or more noticeable signs of damage, Polynucleotides may be a better option. Many clients choose to combine both treatments for enhanced results, as they complement each other well.
